Bereavement notice

It is with deep sadness we share with the church family the passing away of Mrs. Stella Samuel who went to be with the Lord earlier today (March 21, 2023) at her home in Lanham, Maryland.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her children Ebenezer, Arun and Bina; son-in-law John, daughters-in-law Monica,  Priya and Shaila; grand-children Nathaniel, Tanya, Brandon, Gordon, Ryan and their extended family members.

The following are the arrangements for the Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Stella Samuel which will be held at Memorial First India United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 25, 2023:

Viewing: 9:00 AM- 10:30 AM
Celebration of Life Service 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon followed by
Burial at the National Cemetery Route 1
National Memorial Park
13300 Baltimore Avenue, Laurel, MD 20707
Followed by Repast at Memorial First India United Methodist Church, Ernst Fellowship Hall.

Easter Cantata

The Memorial First India United Methodist choir will present an Easter Cantata called “The Lamb” during the church worship service on Palm Sunday, which is April 2, 2023, starting at 10:30 a.m.  This cantata was composed and arranged by Jay Rouse and Rose Aspinall, and published by Lorenz Publishing Company.

Further details of this performance are included in the body of the flyer.  We hope that  you will pass this information along to all your family and friends in order to attend in person in the sanctuary located at 9226 Colesville Road, Silver Spring, MD, or view it online if they are out of town.

We pray that the message of this cantata will be a witness to the sacrificial love of God the Father in the form of His Son, Jesus Christ, who became “The Lamb” and gave His life so that all believers will be given the free gift of eternal life through Him.
